Wind! Rain! & Easter Eggs?

As I was sitting in my car at an American Fork park waiting for Tish, I was thinking how amazing parents are. Here it was freezing, windy and raining and all these parents were braving the storm just so their children could participate in what in the end amounts to 2 minutes of actual egg gathering time. I saw parents racing back to their cars for umbrellas and blankets but nobody left. An hour before the hunt was to start and they were all holding steadfast and true. lol I on the other hand was in my car and very happy to be there! Grandmas are devoted but old. :) But then of course MY babies arrived and there I was braving the elements 30 minutes before start time to make sure Abby had a good egg hunting position when the horn blew, (very important) Tish doing the same thing on the other side of the park with Kadens age group. (Barry was called to a fire and couldn't be there) I heard parents on both sides of me giving their kids pointers on the best places to run to. lol I heard one Dad say, "Forget the candy! Get all the plastic eggs you can, some of them have numbers in them for prizes!" lolol Oh brother I thought! How silly can you get about a little Easter egg hunt! I of course gave Abby her pointers in private where nobody could hear, thereby saving my dignity!! "Don't get distracted by the stuff on the perimeter, run for the middle immediately!!" Mission accomplished!! At the end of the riot, and believe me that's what it was, they each had 3 prize eggs and decent amounts of candy. lol So to all you parents and Grandparents out there who brave the storm everyday for the little things in life, Good Job!!
